Your Gifts Will Make Room for You
"The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men." Proverbs 18:15-16
Over these past couple of months I have been hearing the Spirit of God saying to me over and over very softly, “But your gifts will make room for you”. “But your gifts will make room for you.” The word but usually implies there is a contradiction or problem that someone is having in their thought process or in the matters of life. I was experiencing the faith challenge of stepping-out and stretching-out on God and all of His promises. There were difficulties receiving what God was revealing to me in the Spirit because I was viewing things from my natural eyes.
I am not sure where I first heard this saying, but it is something that I repetitively tell myself and others that I have coached throughout my life and that is, “Everything that you need to be successful is already on the inside of you.” Even if you are not at your place of destiny right now, there is at least one or two things on the inside of you that you can use or develop to help you get to your next level of success that puts you on the path to your God Divine destiny.
So, I set out in discovery of how to use the spiritual gifts that I came into the knowledge by God (to have) to ensure that in everything I do, I am being God-effective for the body of Christ. I have taken action steps of faith, focus and follow-through to use what God has perfected in me to build His Kingdom here in the earth. And I am seeing God’s results. One vital strategy to being effective in the body of Christ is to know all about you. It was Aristotle that said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”, this is in part true but it is through the power of Christ and the word of God that we learn and know who and what we really are.
You should know your natural and spiritual likes and dislikes; what makes you have control or lose all self-control. Take the time to learn about you and what Gods says about who you are. In doing this you will come to find the things that you are most passionate about, the things that you love doing that makes living all the more worthwhile. You will find that there are gifts that God has placed already on the inside of you and that if you would just step-out in faith and trust God, will exponentially transform your life.
God wants to do some extraordinary things in your life today. Yes you! If you are not sure what natural or spiritual gifts you possess that will open doors of opportunity for you, I encourage you to seek God first. In the past I have used several resources to help me discover my spiritual gifts. There is a great online spiritual gift analysis provided free by the Ephesians Four Ministries – Church Growth Institute. It is effective and will help you to expand your knowledge about your newly discovered gifts.
Once you learn about and grow in your assigned gifts, watch how God will use them to promote and excel you to do His will here in the earth. You are holding the keys to your success. What you choose to do with them is completely up to you.
